Downstream to Kinshasa
After the bloody Six-Day War between Ugandan and Rwandan troops, thousands of victims are left behind. Eighteen years later, they remain forgotten. Seen as a burden to their families, they have yet to receive any kind of compensation for what happened. When they try to raise their voices in a musical filled with testimonials about violence and forgotten promises, their voices remain unheard.
The documentary shows us how a few of them undertake a journey downstream to Kinshasa. Through images of scenes from the musical and various moments throughout the journey, we witness a battle for human dignity.
