Cuerdas (10u)

This screening is preceded by a performance by the well-known Paralympic ping pong athlete Laurens Devos.

After the screening there will be a short discussion with Anke Vangenechten.

Maria is a young girl brimming with vitality and wonder. She lives in an orphanage. Her world becomes even more beautiful when she befriends the new boy, Nicolas. He moves in a way different to most children but that doesn’t stop him and Maria from playing together and forming a strong bond.

The animation movie ‘Cuerdas’ highlights the power of friendship, acceptance and the ability to overcome challenges, no matter the physical limitations.
