Addicted to life (19u30)
Marieke Vervoort, also known as 'Wielemie,' was a paralympic wheelchair athlete admired for her humor, charisma, and determination. She achieved numerous medals at the Paralympic Games but she’s perhaps best known for choosing euthanasia towards the end of her life. This documentary reveals the story behind the gold medals, a story that was equally as important to Marieke.
"Addicted to Life" provides a glimpse into the final three years of Marieke Vervoort's life, where the acceptance of her impending death evolves into a celebration of life.
