Sunshine of My Life (7:30 PM)
Yan grows up with two blind parents. As a child, she helped her parents by describing the world around her, but as a high school student, she resents having to rush home after school rather than hanging out with her friends. She also seems to be ashamed of her parents’ disabilities. She is concerned that her parents cannot manage without her, yet she is also worried about her own future and feels trapped.
As a teenage girl, she struggles between the care for her parents and pursuing her own dreams, in a moving portrait of family, responsibility, and self-discovery.
