Paralestine (7:30 PM)
In “Paralestine”, Yasser Abu Wazna follows the inspiring journey of a group of resilient Palestinians with disabilities. Their disabilities are the result of the many violent conflicts that have affected the Gaza Strip since 1987.
Through stories from different generations, a personal portrait of recent Palestinian history unfolds. The film shows how people continue to dream, hope, and sometimes despair as they search for ways to fully participate in society again.
After the screening, a 15-minute discussion will follow, featuring an online interview with director Yasser Abu Wazna.
Director Yasser Abu Wazna is an award-winning video journalist and filmmaker based in the Gaza Strip. In 2025, he won the prestigious Rory Peck News and Features Award.
