Holy Rosita (7:30 PM)
'Holy Rosita' follows the story of Rosita, a cheerful woman determined to become a mother. Those around her have doubts. Because Rosita sometimes struggles to take care of herself, they believe she is not capable of raising a child. When Rosita becomes pregnant, she decides to keep her pregnancy a secret and follow her own path.
The film is about Rosita's fight for independence, the desire for children and the difficult choices you have to make when others don't support you. It became an inspiring story about perseverance, hope, and the right to determine your own future. 'Holy Rosita' won the award for Best Film at the Torino Film Festival and is the feature debut of Belgian director Wannes Destoop. He became known with ‘Albatros’, a tragicomic fiction series about overweight people at a weight-loss camp.
Wannes Destoop, the director, will be present for an interview after the film screening!
