DFF near you

Since last year, the DisABILITY Film Festival launched the “DFF near you” project. This project makes it possible for organizations that work with people with a disability to screen a film from the program during the festival week. Now, just like last year, we are looking for organizations all over Flanders that would like to participate in “DFF near you”. Whether it concerns a day care, a school for special education, a sheltered housing service or a residential facility for people with a disability: via the Leuven DisABILITY Film Festival you have the opportunity to set up your own mini film festival between 8 and 12 May.

What does this specifically mean?

• You have a sufficiently large and accessible room (or can use a room) to receive a diverse audience, and you have the necessary equipment to show the film (fast internet and a sufficiently large screen/projector)
• Your event ensures that people with and without disabilities come together.
• You make efforts to get people who live in the area to come and see the film.

What do we offer you?

• Choice of five different films/documentaries that will also be shown at the film festival in Leuven. We ask 15 euros per film. However, if you want to show all the films, you can do so for only 50 euros.
• With each film you will receive a package from us with questions, assignments and feedback sheets on the theme of the chosen film(s). The intention is not only to show a film, but also to start a discussion.
• Technical support where needed.
