Rosso come il cielo
Rosso come il cielo is based on the childhood experiences of Italian sound editor Mirco Mencacci, who became blind at the age of 10. Mencacci, like his dad, was a lover of film, and being sent to an institute for blind children endangered this passion. But Mencacci found a new way to live his passion: he started experimenting with sound. He recorded everything he heard and played around with editing the sound fragments to get a grip on his surroundings. Despite the school doing everything they could to stop Mencacci from creating his own world of sounds, he persisted and grew into the prominent sound director he is today.
