In this biopic about cartoon artist John Callahan, we get to see an unmatched Joaquin Phoenix. Callahan tries to get his life together in the aftermath of an accident that left him paralyzed. The paralysis however seems to be the least of his problems: his self-pity and the alcohol addiction for which he seeks help from the AA have a much bigger impact on his life.
